There are lots to do in and around Nakusp. You just have to get here to do it.
Nakusp can be Your All-Season Outdoor Play Ground.Brad & Catrina Stubbs with Kootenay Kingfisher Guiding Services are an excellent choice for a Great Fishing experience. Everybody has nothing but good things to say about Brad and his Fishing expertise. Try it out; I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! And I know you’ll love staying here!

Nakusp Adventures can escort you on Guided Snowmobiling, Horseback riding & ATV tours. Kayaking tours or rentals can be supplied right to your door by Columbia Kayaking.

The many fabulous Trails for hiking or biking; Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing; how to get to the old Ghost Town of Sandon & Mt. Idaho Peak plus information on Nakusp & its Hot Springs can be found on Nakusp's web site.

Nakusp Hot Springs is a 12 min. drive and Halcyon Hot Springs is a 20 min. from your Cabin.

We have 2 great Golf Courses; Nakusp Golf Course is a 5 min. drive; Fauquier Golf Course is a 40 min. drive.

Just a 10 min. walk along a landscaped trail from your cabin and you are at the Public beach, Tennis Courts, Arena complex with Squash, Racquet Ball, Ice Skating & Hockey plus a Skateboard Park. The Play Park, Daycare Center and an outdoor Gazebo, where you can listen to live music played on certain days, are next to the beach. Carry on for another 5 min walk and you are downtown, ready to shop at all the quaint little shops and walk home to your cabin along the gorgeous waterfront walkway.

Some great Baseball tournaments plus our Famous Mod Bogs are held every year on August Long Weekend with plenty of beer to quench your thirst in the summer sun.

July 1st Long Weekend you can buy a duck or ducks and wait at the mouth of the Kuskanax to see if your duck gets through first. They drop the ducks that are in a net by Helicopter into the Kuskanax Creek up by the Nakusp Hot Springs. Then the duck rush down the creek and come out at the mouth of the Kuskanax on our property.

Canadian Mountain Heli-Skiing runs a lodge here in Nakusp, as well. You might want to do a combo trip where you can go for a 3-4 Day Ski trip with CMH and a 1-2-3 or more days of a Fishing Trip with KKF and stay with us at Murphy’s Landing!
