As you saw, there are many activities. We have 2 great Golf Courses,
an Arena with an Ice Rink for Hockey or Skating; Hey, why not
get a crowd and rent the ice all to yourselves! Bring your own
boat or rent one and cruise our outstanding lake with natural
waterfalls, sandy bays and beaches, rock cliffs and creeks; go
for a casual or adventurous hike and check out the breathtaking
scenery in our area.
Long Weekends
in Nakusp are known to be great fun. There are some great Baseball
Tourneys, Mud Bogs, Beer Gardens, Parades and Fishing Derby's
to check out! If you have children, the Public Beach and Play
Park is just around the corner. There you will also find Beach
Volleyball, Tennis Courts, Swings, Slides ect. and even a Skateboard
Park, only a 10-minute walk. The Arena and Baseball diamonds are
right next to all of these. Plus in the summer you can listen
to live Music that is played in a large outdoor Gazebo next to
the beach and park. All within walking distance!
You can walk
down the naturally landscaped trail directly to downtown Nakusp
in 15-minutes. Stroll up and down Main Street with its quaint
little shops. Have a refreshing drink and walk back to your cabin
along the gorgeous Waterfront Walkway.
Don't forget
our magnificent Hot Springs! Nakusp Hot Springs & Halcyon
Hot Springs are a close driving distance from your cabin. There
are also some natural Hot Springs pools located in our area for
the more exploratory type. In the winter months these Hot Springs
are just what the doctor ordered. They lift your spirits and allows
for a most unusual snowball fight played in your bathing suit.
Nakusp Ski Hill
is approx. 20- minutes out of town. There are as you saw some
of the greatest snowmobiling country around, as well as magnificent
cross-country ski trails.
Remember too,
you can book a Heli-Skiing trip for 3-4 days with CMH & extend
your stay here with us for the remainder of your holiday. We can
arrange to have an experienced Fishing Guide and all around nice
guy, show you how to catch the big ones. Why not book a combo
trip, Guided Heli-Skiing & accommodations with CMH, move on
to Guided Fishing with KKF & accommodations with US! Maybe
you would like do some Heli-Fishing!
Give me your estimated time of arrival, before you land in our
VFR Airport, and I’ll come pick you up and escort you to
your cabin. It’s a great way to spend a few days, do some
great Guided Fishing, soak in our Hot Springs, sleep in some fabulous
accommodations and fly home!
